Ritendra says, “the contrast between surface texture and space has been an overriding visual concern for me. This has been heightened by distinct color shifts a I move through different spaces/locations. The intensity of emotion that a color field can generate has a profound effect on my psyche. The movement has been induced by creating a pathway (stairs) within the figurative framework of the architectural form it enables me (and the viewer) to walk through the structures and the integrated components of light and dark metamorphose as private spaces for introspection.” His works help him understand his own motivations. It is a search for balance and rhythmic harmony.
