Jyotee’s art is not the kind that screams from across a room and falls flat with the sheer exhaustion of that one quick movement. It is work that silently beckons and invites you to take a guided tour through the fabulous and magical labyrinths of her inner self and yours, reaching into a deep treasure house of memories and resonances that are given a new voice as they are dredged up from the dark secret corners of the unconscious. It demands a certain preparedness of the viewer without which no great art can be experience or created. Once your blindfolds and blinkers are discarded on the way, Jyotee takes you on a trip where her magic skills will take familiar things and give them a new reality that is in touch with cosmic forces.
